“Everything to Lose” was released today by @pattiegonia and @rei - an artful, moving, and in depth look at plastic pollution in Hawaiʻi and how the issue runs deep in our lives globally. Watch the full documentary that features Sustainable Coastlines throughout by clicking the link in @pattiegonia bio (we’ll share on our Facebook page too). Don’t miss the spoken word piece in @rei feed too that summons the calls to action of the legendary Dr. Seuss. .
A bigger part of the story is also one that starts with a single person. Our extraordinary core volunteer @sustainablyliz made this happen. When Pattie, a friend and inspiration to Liz, came to her and asked for help in telling the story of plastic pollution in Hawaiʻi she sprang to action and worked tirelessly to make sure this happened. This is the true story of SCH and our ʻOhana - it starts with each one of us acting, taking responsibility, and using our passions and talents to bring about change. As Pattie found out, it starts with awareness and then builds from there. Because, while we may have everything to lose by sitting by in the name of convenience, we truly have everything to gain by acting - like Liz did, like Pattie did, like all of you following along with SCH do everyday.
