Let’s face it..in racing, heat is the #1 enemy, for both car AND driver. And both will fail if/when pushed too hard..
Consider for a moment all the items and layers of safety gear a driver wears, and the amount of sweat exerted in this high-heat environment..
Water-loss aside, these hot conditions will wear you out faster, putting strain on your endurance, reaction, and concentration...Simply put: You’re slowing down, and your body can’t handle it..
So what can you do?..Answer: Learn to endure the heat!
Find a sauna near you (preferably infrared) , and start getting acclimated to the heat..Start slow, and build up your tolerance through longer sauna sessions..Next time you’re in the race car, it’ll definitely suck less..
Sauna key benefits:
Stress and fatigue reduction
Immune system boost
Joint pain relief
