My #dad #father would be almost 90 today and I wanted to give him a shout out just in case he’s checking in on me. Harry was a pretty interesting cat. Included here are a photo of him with the #dallascowboy #cheerleaders at a convention in the 70s, with his junior basketball team from 1946-47, he’s number 8 on the bottom left, the original owner’s manual from his first new car in 1960, the brochure from his first house also purchased in 1960 (for the whopping sum of $12,500), one of his personalized matchbooks that were kept in a bowl in his office and us attending our last Expos game together when they were in #Seattle in their last year of existence. Pops was a serious 😡but funny 😃guy 😳who great provider💰who also took a pretty big risk in 1970 by buying out his partners and starting his own company. For those unaware that was a very turbulent time in #Quebec as the FLQ were making news for all the wrong reasons and causing tanks to be rolling down the streets of Montreal. He was A real family man who insisted we do a lot of things together as a family probably because he grew up without a father, he did his best to be there for all of us. He was a collector of all kinds of things, he loved baseball ⚾️ was a seasons ticket holder for the #expos #montrealexpos and loved traveling the world with my mom. For all you fathers and sons out there, make sure you talk to each other often-I wish I could’ve talked to him more.
