I’m sorry if I don’t get back to you in a few days... it has been crazy three weeks.
People who know me personally know already but I have been fostering cats from @minirescue since last year. This is Snowball, 6yo Ragdoll x boy who used to be an outside cat but owner couldn’t take him to their new home so he came to our rescue. As a rescue policy, all the cats need to be inside only as we saved cats from pound and don’t want take any risk of their lives.
Anyway, he hated to be kept inside and second night, he opened a louvre window and squeezed him through and ran away... he didn’t know where he was and got lost. For two months!!!! A kind neighbor heard him meowing and went outside to find him but he was so sick, he lost balance and fell into a drain. Then the lady called @rspca_qld emergency and they got him, scanned him and we got a call!!!!! (Please microchip your pet!!!!)
Unfortunately he was really really sick. He didn’t have access to food for two months and lost about half of his weight and had liver failure and toxins affected his brain and eye sight. At an emergency vet near us, we were told he is too sick to survive. However, I felt he came out for help and couldn’t say put him down.... but our rescue supported me and let us take him to @sunshinecoastvets @sunshinecoastvetspomona
Who did amazing job on him for two weeks 24/7 and let him come home last Wednesday!
But he needs to be fed every 2 hours and it takes about 30mins. Plus we have two dogs (one has dementia), 3 cats and 3 other foster cats and a bird to look after. So many things to organize, work, cancel some work, a big wedding job is coming up... So if you don’t get any reply till next day, please send me a text again. I’m so sorry!!!! My brain is over capacity at the moment😅
But this is me. I rather suffer my life and help animals. I am so grateful to see wonderful people through this difficult time. People who I know people who I don’t know surprised me with lots of support and love. Thank you so much and yes, he is improving a lot as you can see in photos!
