Cinque Terre, Italy | Чинкве Терре, Италия 🇮🇹
Beautiful photos of these five villages have been all over internet for the last decade, so we decided to see it with our own eyes. We have spent two relaxing days in Cinque Terre and absolutely LOVED those colorful little houses climbing the hills, super narrow streets with endless steps, crystal clear water, fisheman piers, fresh seafood, terraced wyneyards and taste of local wine! Place is just PERFECT in its imperfection! No famours architects worked there, so mostly houses were build by winemakers, who discovered that grapes grown on those slopes have a unique taste, and fisherman who were catching thousands of anchovies every day. Houses have been build one on a top of another and it seems like there is no single straight wall, but every square centimeter of it "exhails" strong culture and dynamics of this place, so you can feel it with your skin!
Arriving there by boat was so far my favorite experience (you can also come by train, car access is very limited and in my humble opinion it saves this place from destruction). Most scenic and colorful views from the sea are views to Riomagiorre and Manarola, foundations of lower row of buildings are touching cristal clear water of Ligurian Sea. Most beautiful sunsets and romantic atmosphere we discovered in another village, called Corniglia, which found its place on the top of a huge rock.
I felt like I am a princess from a fairy tale walking the narrow streets of my italian kingdom 😇 I was smiling every single minute we spent there!
