First day back on skis in over a year... Despite the fact I sucked, I had a lot of fun at @whitewaterskiresort today. —— Location: Yesterday I drove out to Slocan Lake, just an hour outside of Nelson, the light on the peaks was beautiful.
I watched this cow moose eating in the pond for about 10 minutes before she climbed out, and only then did I realize she had two calves! They were lying down in the tall grass and were totally hidden from where I was standing!
Just spent an amazing couple of days presenting & chatting all about bears with @northwestwildlife & even got my hands on this massive POLAR BEAR SKULL!!! Can you believe how big it is?! 🐻 Honestly their office is a zoologist's dream, how many species can you see in this picture?!
Sailing through the Salish Sea! I know that travelling between Vancouver Island & the mainland can be a bit of a pain at times but at least the view isn't bad! The Salish Sea is one of those places where you could literally take a photo anywhere & it'll look nice because it's all so flipping beautiful, what's your favourite bit? Am heading to Vancouver for an event where I'll be chatting all about bears 🐻 with @northwestwildlife. Which is very exciting as who doesn't love chatting about wildlife?!
