You can’t control every situation you’re put in, but you can control your thinking. Think positive through every obstacle you’re going through, it may not fix things, but it will make it easier. Don’t focus on the bad, I know it’s easy to get fixated on everything going wrong, but there is good, there is always good. Find it. Take a deep breath and let yourself feel. It’s okay to have off days and cry, it’s okay to call into work and have a mental health day. Let those days come, and then let them pass. Find something that brings your mind to ease like reading, yoga, a long walk, go to your local animal shelter and play with a pup, anything that can destress you after a long day. Make sure you’re eating, it’s easy to lose your appetite when you’re sad, but your body needs you to eat! Give it healthy foods and drink lots of water! Remember you’re not alone and you’re aloud to reach out to people, your feelings are valid and you’re not a burden. Everything you’re feeling and going through is making you stronger, the bad days will come, but remember the good days always follow. Give it time and don’t get down on yourself, small progress is still progress and you should celebrate every little accomplishment. Life is hard, but it’s also really beautiful and that’s something to hold onto.
