Don't miss the screening sessions of ‘ORDINARY TIME’ (‘Tempo Comum’) in Macao, on May 26th 7:00pm and May 31st 7:30pm, at the @cinemathequepassion •
The documentary follows the delete life of Tarcísio Amaro, a retired miner living in the vicinity of Mount Estrela (Serra da Estrela), the highest mountain range in Continental Portugal.
Glimpses of the past, from the harsh life of mining to memories of war in Africa, intertwine with Mr. Amaro present life, his close relationship with nature, his views on religion and politics and a lifelong passion for brass bands.
Filmed over a period of two years, ‘Ordinary Time’ ultimately presents us with a glance into the decline of rural life, in the depopulated countryside of Portugal.
