Ex-Convento Santo Domingo de Guzman, now The Centro Cultural de Oaxaca. This former monastery has been used for a number of purposes, but has been gorgeously renovated into a museum of Oaxacan cultural anthropology. The walls are finished with a regionally specific coating that includes clay from nearby hills, and juice from the nopale (cactus) leaves. It is glossy and pleasant to the touch, scratch resistant, off-white with an ever so slightly warm tint, and reportedly has highly insulating properties.
