Here's a lesser known Jackson Robinson (JR) deck. The Black Diamond is the 3rd Tally Ho deck by JR.
A 2015 Kickstarter project; it was funded in 58 seconds and shipped in 2016. What was unique about this deck is that it was one of the first custom decks to use USPCC's MetalLuxe foiling process.
Limited to only 1000 decks, with 50 Legacy editions and 10 Tactical Legacy eds. Due to the high printing cost, no display decks were released unlike the other Tally Ho decks. Google Kickstarter black diamond cards for more info on the KS page.
This deck is different from JR's other Tally Hos. The tuck features black foil on black embossed soft touch paper. His back design are accentuated brilliantly by the silver MetalLuxe foil. Fanning isn't that smooth but that's not the main reason one buys a JR deck.
Face cards are JR standard pips and courts. The courts are dressed in double metallic inks. All of this really pop out due to the all-black backgrounds, both front and back.
My only wish is for red ink to be used on the red courts for easier/faster identification. All in all an amazing, glittering deck by JR.
With a KS price of $27 per deck, it is more expensive than his other Tally Ho. But surprisingly this didn't rise much in price compared to his Scarlett and Emerald. Going for around $30-$40 on ebay, you can still find it at some online stores. This Black Diamond is a great addition to any collection.
