Who needs help with natural #energy and natural #sleep ? I keep both on my nightstand. I take the night chew when I go to bed. When I wake up to my alarm at 5:30 am 😳, I eat the energy chew. I take them every morning/night and have great energy and great sleep (colorful dreams, too!). Both work to balance the circadian rhythm in our bodies and lower cortisol (stress hormone much??). People always ask me what I do eat since I don’t eat meat or dairy. I eat literally everything else. There are so many choice of what you can feed your body, based on your personal needs. People feel like veganism is an extreme diet and I respectfully disagree. Paired with regular bloodwork and physicals, you can use veganism to your advantage and achieve your body goals too! I lost all my baby weight just from eating a plant based diet and working out at least 5 minutes a day. Alert⚠️ G E Z O N D E C H O C O L A D E K E R S E N T A A R T 🍫🍒 Ingrediënten: Bodem: 190 gram amandelmeel 75 gram pecannoten 30 gram kokosolie 45 gram ahorn siroop Kersenlaag: 200 gram ontpitte kersen scheutje water Optioneel: paar eetlepels ahornsiroop Chocolade ganache: 300 gram pure chocolade (>70%) 250 milliliter volle kokosmelk Bereiding: Verwarm de oven voor op 175 graden. Doe de amandelmeel met de pecannoten in een keukenmachine en maal fijn. Voeg de (gesmolten) kokosolie en siroop toe en pulseer nog even tot een samenhangende massa. Druk het deeg in een bakvorm met bakpapier en bak de bodem 10 minuten BLIND in de oven. Dat wil zeggen: leg een bakpapiertje over de bodem en stort hier “blindbakvulling” over. Dit kan gewoon met gedroogde bonen of ongekookte rijstkorrels. Na 10 minuten haal je de blindbakvulling er weer af en bak je de bodem nog 5-10 minuten goudbruin. Laat de bodem volledig afkoelen. Doe de kersen met een scheutje water (eventueel extra zoetstof) in een pan met anti aanbak laag. Laat inkoken en roer regelmatig op laag vuur. Laat afkoelen. Verwarm de kokosmelk in een pannetje. Breek de chocola in stukken in een kom. Schenk de hete kokosmelk over de chocolade en roer tot je een dikke chocolade saus krijgt. Smeer de afgekoelde kersen over de bodem en schenk de ganache er over heen. Opstijven en smullen maar! From a few days ago. Millet with fresh herbs, sesame seeds, sumac, oregano, garlic infused olive oil and some lime juice. Cauliflower marinated in homemade harissa and then grilled. Grilled green peppers (still don't know what kind of peppers these are. Might be a banana pepper). Grilled green onion and a grilled lime. Ras el hanout flavoured hummus with mulberry molasses on top. Sprinkled with toasted nuts and seeds and fresh tomatoes from the garden. Probably forgot some things 🤷‍♀️ #plantbased #millet #grill

My trip through Iowa!! 😊🌽☀️🌻🌾🌿🌲🐿🐷🐮 I did not go hungry, that’s for sure. We went to the Iowa State Fair where I discovered that pretzels are amazing 🥨 and that I hate the way animals are treated there 😭, visited my hometown (sorta) of Ames and ate some AMAZING Indian food 🍛 from my favorite restaurant of my childhood, went to a butterfly garden 🦋 where I sneakily sampled some Jabuticaba fruit (they grow along the tree trunk!!! And taste like the sweetest grape juice 🍇😊), went on long walks through parks and saw lots of little friends 🐿 🦢🐰🦆🐦, ate lots of salad 🥗 and baked potatoes 🥔 at a buffet, ate a German restaurant in the Amana colonies around here where I devoured about a loaf of rye bread 🥖 with strawberry rhubarb jam, survived a BBQ restaurant by filling up on baked potatoes and corn 🌽🥔🥗, ate my first sandwich from Subway which was sooo good 🥪, saw some amazingly beautiful scenery around the state (surprisingly more than just corn and soybean fields, although there was plenty of that too🌱🌲🌻🌽), went on a boat ride 🚣‍♀️ on the Mississippi River, ate my weight in oatmeal and banana toasts at hotels, rode a carousel 🎠 with my grandparents, ate VEGAN ITALIAN ICECREAM which was out of this world 😍 (raspberry lemon flavor), learned about my heritage and family history, visited some gardens 🍅🥬🥒, looked at old buildings and shops, ate fresh apricots that my grandparents brought from my aunt’s tree🍊, and laughed about old times when I used to live in Utah near my family. On this trip I have felt sadness, regret, guilt, overwhelming happiness, support, new inspiration, exhaustion, fear, peace, and love. I have been battling internal emotions tied to my eating disorder and challenging those anxieties, as well as the fear of rejection from my family. I have discovered that there is so much love and support for me from them, and that I can also be gentle and accepting of myself as well. ❤️ I need to let go of a lot of my stress and fear. 🕊 What a journey... What a gift life is. 😌

finally tried chelsea market’s famed very fresh noodles yesterday 🍜🍜 my hot take: the first few bites were incredible. the texture is as thick and chewy and splendid as it looks in the pictures. but damn, that spice BUILDS UP. and I got “not spicy.” I feel like the more I ate it, the less I enjoyed it?? love the noodles themselves and wish they didn’t come in a 2 inch deep broth of pure chili oil 😕

Monday morning scrambling - even when you’re running out the door, grabbing a healthy lunch to take to work can be as easy as this 1-minute salad. Lots of baby spinach, shredded carrots, grape tomatoes, pea shoots, and avo with @traderjoes everything but the bagel. I love naked salads (so crunchy!), but you can always bring dressing on the side. I will throw some coconut milk yogurt in my lunch bag too and... ready for Monday!!! ✅

I have been feeling immense shifts and looking inward ~ Journaling is something I do that is grounding, helps me to identify and reflect on my current state. I asked my higher self to communicate with me, What is it that I need to transcend? I received: To move out of my ways that are limiting me in any way. to listen deeper, to my inner self my intuition to clear my mind of limiting beliefs that no longer serve me allow the flood of powerful mindset for manifestation I will achieve anything I set my mind & soul to. anything can be mine. raise my vibration to come into alignment with my manifestations & dream life I currently am focusing my energy on manifesting a change in environment - What will help me get there? act as if you are already there. live in abundance & gratitude. speak as if it is already here. focus energy on high paying activities, allow for financial abundance to flow to me. I will show up for myself EVERYDAY. Take care of my myself delicately. speak gently be patient loving nurturing I will treat myself as I would a companion Speak my truth I am funny I am kind & gentle I am compassionate I am supportive I am giving I am creative I am abundant in love All that I anticipate to manifest involves deep inner work & reflection In conclusion, I will treat myself how I will treat my companion become my own companion. my top motivator. with that, I will achieve anything. Feeling like a BLK+GRN goddess 🌿👸🏿 — Yesterday, I spent the afternoon immersing myself in all things self-care + wellness at @blkandgrn 's pop-up experience Blk Oasis. — This event involved a pop-up store with a beautifully curated selection of nontoxic products (for your skin, feminine care, home, kids, etc.) all made by black artisans.
