Put off farming a week because of the weather warning for Cyclone Oma - it rained for an hour, did crazy shit to the tides and passed 🌧

It may be a while before our mornings consist of us checking out the fishies from a dock while we sip coffee and watch the sun shine from across the water and wait for our pancakes to be finished cooking... But in just 11 days I get to start waking up to your face every morning, and to me... That's even better.

Walk with @adeeswanson at Petaluma's local wetlands at Shollenberger Park. Lotsa water, lotsa birds, and even lotsa turtles sunning themselves on this fine day.

Did we take the wrong freeway and ended up taking a longer drive to get here? Yes. Did we hike a little more than a mile into a trail only to realize it was the wrong one? Yes. Did I have to take a little too many breaks because my knee is still adjusting to hiking? Yes. But damn was it all worth it. It’s funny how all the things could go wrong but with a positive attitude it can still end up a great day. And it’s always incredibly endearing to be surrounded by others who think the same way. Even if we didn’t hike to the top, it still would’ve been an amazing day. I am so thankful for the wonderful mountains I get to hike and the friendships I have been very much trying to nurture now that I am back in California. Today was just too beautiful of a day to not spend it outdoors ❤️

It takes 6 months to build a Rolls Royce and 13 hours to build a Toyota. If you’re looking for quality in your life, you must learn to be patient. Endure the endless steep hill, pour over the smallest of details and remain diligent in the pursuit of what you want. You’re worth the luxury of quality, but don’t forget or underestimate the power and the grit of the workhorse! They are both valuable. 😊 . . #getoutside #optoutside #neverstopexploring #choosemountains #hiking #womenwhohike #lifeofadventure #forceofnature #dowhatyoulove #hikingadventures #keepitwild #aginggracefully #hikingfun #staywild #mountaingirl #hikecalifornia #peoplewhohike #womeninthewild #sheadventures #rei1440project #hikemore #fitover50 #goals

Health is Wealth 🌱: I value the people around me, each and every one with their own unique energy. Friends that smile through cold random adventures, think of you because you want to work on your photography skills, and give you the puffy jacket and offer the puffy pants, keepers. Love you both @mcdonaldamy and @birtbear. I always look up to you both. Harry and Amy climbing ice walls under a blanket of stars. Extremely hard to work with so much light movement but I feel okay with these shots. Practice makes perfect. All the adventures ahead, my loves ❄️💙. #kootrocks #briscoranges #shareinvermere #purecanada #explorebc #mentalhealth #iceclimbing

Thought it would be a good idea to go for a “run“ in the mountains today. Instead, I fell on my ass about six times and I am in a lot of pain. #worthit

“Where Onyx (formerly known as Milo) was born is unknown. I only know that he was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas. He was going to be euthanized the following day before his life was spared. Street Dog Hero flew him all the way to Redmond via Seattle. We met him just a few hours after he arrived to Bend at his foster house and the connection was immediate. It was the first dog we visited and we didn’t want to take a rushed decision, but Onyx already stole our hearts in those ten minutes. We took him to our home just a couple of days later. It’s going to be a bit less than a month since we had him. He has brought so much joy to our home. He’s super chill and when it comes the time for adventure he’s up for everything. As someone that never had a dog while growing up, this is definitely one of the most uplifting moments in my life.” - @Alejandro_torres_photography
