Ethan and I both have a good sense of direction, we rarely get lost (I'll admit, if we do it's usually my fault but Ethan has an unfair advantage spending most his life involved in Boy Scouts) anyhoo.. We usually dont fall off trail but we did on this hike and guess what? I WASNT leading this time 🤣. It was more rock scrambling with the 600ft elevation gain within 1 mile. We get to this point and think this is a FUN hike. We love a challenge, climbing rocks and high elevation. Fast forward to 5 minutes later we get to where the "trail" seems to stop and we see anchors in the rocks. Turns out we totally took a wrong turn and ended up where climbers start their climb to the summit. We back track and realize where we turned off was just 3 minutes from the summit we were trying to get to but no regrets.. The way we took was definitely way more fun!
exactly 1 month from today I’m going to be in Nashville, Tennessee for the annual Rodan and Fields convention!🎸🎶
i’m grateful to @rodanandfields for so many things including the opportunity to travel to new places! this is a throwback to last year’s convention in New Orleans! - specifically, the day we hopped the plantation fence, ran across the highway and up a hill to see the Mississippi River😂
I need ALL the Nashville recommendations! What to see, do & eat!✨I’ll have two full days before the convention just for exploring and we’ll have two nights free!
So many people ask us who takes our pictures, there really is no one around! Usually I prop my camera up, set the timer, run and hope it turns out! I've gotten pretty good at those 10 second sprints 💨But sometimes when it's a harder pose or riskier location it looks a little like this and I take a screen shot of the video later📸
Day 31-32: Nashville, TN! 😄🎶 Another stop full of music and liveliness, even on a Sunday night/Monday morning! 💕🎉 Thank you to Steven, who put us up for the night! ✨🙏🏾 We loved the ramen and the low-key live music spot! 🍜🎼 Keep your eyes peeled for a little bongo-silk fan jam that we’ll post later! 🤗
The only time you'll catch me with my head down is overlooking a cliff ledge⛰
1 week ago
We hiked 2 miles to this overlook to unwind after a 10 mile hike to a cave waterfall, reached it just before sunset & this is how it went down. .
The view was refreshing & just absolutely freeing, I'm not sure what that means, all I know is I felt free & light standing up there. After sitting & enjoying it for a moment of course I had to capture it.
After the first shot we sat there again looking over the ledge at the top of the trees & the sky starts to get colorful, naturally I wanted another pic. Then we sat there again sore from the hikes, soaking in all the views & yet again, the sky gets prettier. So we end up with amazing shots to remind us of this day & a gorgeous slideshow of this sunset.. posted in the opposite order because as I said.. it just kept getting better & the last couple were my favs💕
