Good light in the shop can make a huge difference when capturing your projects or yourself (!) when building. Right now I have overhead shop lights which are not great for filming as it produces a lot of shadows. Now what I really want is to have one or two window-sized panels that replicate the look of daylight. I found one company that make a really nice looking one, however it was $2200.
So... good opportunity to create something yourself, right? Here we're testing the quality of some new LED lights to see if they would work good for this project of a large, window-replicating panel on a rolling base. These lights here are super dense, 24 volt with 2400 lights per roll. I'm thinking of making a 200 watt panel, so it should produce a lot of light. If you're not familiar, 200 watts is a humongous amount of light!
