In 2016 ClarkeHopkinsClarke became the largest architectural practice in the world to be certified as a B Corp. There are now 2,600 B Corps across 60 countries and we are excited to see more architectural practices starting to get on board. This year we will need to recertify, and that means improving on our initial score of 94.9! #bcorp #bcorpmonth #bthechange #impacttomorrow #ClarkeHopkinsClarke

Every year we sponsor two team members to take part in the annual Run From Poverty Experience in Kenya, raising funds for One Heart Foundation to educate, home and care for ophaned and abandoned children in Kenya. Here are some images of our team with the One Heart school bus, purchased by ClarkeHopkinsClarke. CHC has declared a War on Waste – check out our short film (link in bio). We are reducing our contribution to landfill by 31%. From refusing disposable cups and reusing paper for sketch books to purchasing an organic waste dehydrator/composter and introducing a soft plastics recycling bin. Small changes can make a big impact! #bcorpmonth #bcorp #impacttomorrow #waronwaste #reduce #reuse #recycle #compost

Frederick Street sits in a quiet residential pocket on the cusp of Doncaster’s central business district. ⁣ ⁣ Timber textures define the external facade along with a generosity of landscaping. Perforated black metal screening and balustrading is layered with creeping and cascading greenery to provide a verdant outlook and delivering privacy for occupants within. ⁣ ⁣ Pictured team from left: Toby Lauchlan (partner), Amos Matteri (Senior Project Manager), Ben Poh (Architect), Emma Frazer (Senior Interior Designer).

The design brief for Frederick Street was to create a range 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments which display high quality internal and external amenity. ⁣ ⁣ In total there will be 48 apartments with a good portion of larger, owner occupier style residences. The brief will be delivered through spacious planning, a generosity of light, warm and comfortable interior finishes and a touch of luxury.⁣ ⁣ #clarkehopkinsclarke #impacttomorrow #apartmentdesign #architecture #melbournearchitecture #australianarchitecture #architecturevictoria #residential #residentialarchitecture #archisketch #archdaily

Architecturally, our intent for Frederick Street was to create a balance between strength and softening. ⁣ ⁣ Its five level form will be articulated through strong horizontal elements with sweeping curved balconies that echo similar shapes within the neighbouring commercial precinct. ⁣ ⁣ This interplay of qualities anchors the building within its established residential context whilst giving definition to individual residences.⁣ ⁣ #clarkehopkinsclarke #ImpactTomorrow #multiresidential #apartments #architecture #architecturevictoria #melbournearchitecture #residential #design #articulation #archi #architecturalvisualisation #3drendering #artistimpression #visualisation #archdaily #archihunter

Congratulations to Jonathan Curran who has been promoted to Senior Associate, and to Michelle Cavicchiolo and Tim Hargreaves who have been appointed as Associates.⁣ ⁣ In designing the built environment our first priority is people. Users of the places and spaces we design. Clients we partner with to bring design visions to life. Collaborators who help us achieve a far greater impact than we could achieve alone. Our in-house team of 160 architects, designers and business support is fundamental too. It is only through a strong, positive and supportive culture that great work can be done. This month we welcome eight of these team members into senior leadership positions.⁣ ⁣ Watch our film ‘Behind the Façade’, an interview with our new partners Cath and James – link in bio⁣ ⁣ #clarkehopkinsclarke #impacttomorrow #leadership #architecture #melbournearchitecture #australianarchitecture #architecturepractice #mixeduse #interiors #healthcare

Congratulations Cath Muhlebach and James Kelly, our new partners at ClarkeHopkinsClarke! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Growing leaders has been part of our partnership model for 60 years. We’re one of Australia’s largest multi-sector practices and, quite possibly, the only one founded and still managed as a partnership, not a company. Nurturing in-house talent is central. Our leaders have all started as employees and grown with the practice. Our values are in their DNA.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Watch our film ‘Behind the Façade’, an interview with Cath and James – link in bio⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #clarkehopkinsclarke #impacttomorrow #partners #partnership #leadership #architecture #melbournearchitecture #australianarchitecture #architecturepractice #healthdesign #agedcaredesign #seniorliving
