Mark Freeman, Stephen Turner, Chris Scoble, Sian Wright and Kelly Wellington are looking forward to hosting delegates attending site tours for both LCI Melbourne Art & Design and Prahran High School during "Talking Spaces 9: The Decade Ahead" in Melbourne tomorrow. Over ten years, Talking Spaces events have brought together academic research with industry know-how to discuss and disseminate new knowledge, focus attention on emerging issues, and seed further research directions and Gray Puksand is thrilled to be involved with the University of Melbourne on this event. #graypuksand #prahranhighschool #lcimelbourne #learningenvironments #talkingspaces9 #vsba #educationdesign #inspiredfuture

Currently residing in Sydney, Nathan de Leeuw started life in the profession in his home town of Adelaide before moving to New Zealand to play a role in the rebuild process of the earthquake damaged Christchurch. He has built a diverse skill set practicing architecture across a range of locations in the Asia-Pacific. In late December 2018 he became a registered architect, following the experienced practitioner pathway with the NSW RAB. We congratulate Nathan on this achievement and another registered architect to the GrayPuksand team. #inspiredfuture #graypuksand

Yesterday it was the Official Opening of the brand new Prahran High, which is Victoria's first vertical government secondary school.  As stated by Minister for Education James Merlino “The new Prahran High School is a brilliant example of what a contemporary, urban school looks like.” #education #highschool #Prahran #inspiredfuture

The original façade was reinstated and the entry, which had undergone a refurbishment in the 1960s, was returned to its original state with a contemporary twist. The lobby includes a new lift car and accessible amenities, and the design team sourced historic images of the building which are printed onto translucent film and applied to full height glazing adjacent the staircase. Original high ceilings and timber floors were exposed and restored and paired with white walls to present a crisp finish. #graypuksand #inspiredfuture

Membership organisation Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand required a more contemporary Victoria / Tasmania office that incorporated staff workspace, training facilitates, meeting rooms, a members lounge, and breakout spaces. Another example of economical-yet-clever use of materials, Gray Puksand’s in-house graphics team developed a custom frosted film for the class walls of meeting rooms.  #inspiredfuture #graypuksand

The industrial site was originally constructed circa 1940-1942 and formerly comprised of woolstores built along the frontage to Alexandra Canal. After being left vacant for over 20 years the sheds were in need of major renewal. Gray Puksand identified exciting opportunities that would harness the changing local demographic and demand. #graypuksand #inspiredfuture

Urbis set Gray Puksand the task of designing a space that communicated the ‘uniqueness’ of its interdisciplinary form both internally and externally. The resulting space is a black and white canvas which uses bold injections of colour and graphics to create a crisp, contemporary workplace which has given Urbis new levels of openness and staff amenity. #graypuksand #inspiredfuture

With the building’s prominent architectural history came a need to respect yet modernise the podium. Gray Puksand worked closely with the City of Melbourne’s Urban Design and Heritage teams. The new designs respond directly to the building’s context. #graypuksand #inspiredfuture  📷 @peterbbennetts

Anne’s is a Catholic Primary School in a heavily treed area and takes great pride in its ‘bush’ setting. Our design celebrates this setting by making reference to nature in the canopy design of the roof, and the use of natural colours. #graypuksand #inspiredfuture

This project showcases the automotive industry through a world leading building that sets new benchmarks and environmental performance in a state of the art training facility.  The facility provides an opportunity to bring collaborative learning, serving as a central and iconic statement within it’s urban context. This is a building set in the public realm offering an enhanced sense of ‘soul’ to the extended south west corner of the Melbourne CBD. #inspiredfuture #graypuksand  📷  @johngollingsphotography

This project reflects a significant evolution of Australia Post’s workplace environment with a focus on employee wellbeing, staff engagement, collaboration and innovation in response to change as technology enables new flexible modes of working. The main drivers were to create a workspace that embedded a culture and behaviours for employees that enabled them to deliver exceptional customer service to everyone, everywhere and every day. #inspiredfuture

A unique addition to this development is the integration of tandem carparking made possible by the application of Auto & General’s own custom developed software. The software allows staff to be confident that they will not impede their colleagues’ access during each shift and allows the site to be fully occupied with 190 people on site at any one time. #inspiredfuture #graypuksand
